BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

Last March 16 was the Araw ng Davao. I know it's late but whatever - Happy Araw ng Davao! *I still hope you feel the vibe & spirit* Of course when it's the "day" of the city everyone celebrates! As for me? I went to two different parties - Step Up Street Party & Liberalia. Found myself in two shindigs which both are distantly far from each other. Well, a little party never killed nobody! ;)

Since it was going to be a loooong night *indeed it was!* I opted for carefree pieces that are both light, comfy, and that I'd be able to bust some moves on the dance floor! The trick was to add some prints and a pop of color and I'm good to go ;)

To protect my feet from all the stomping of other people's feet, mud, and other deadly stuffs *lol* I, most of the time, wear my palladium boots. And yes it is comfy and ultimately you can survive dancing from dusk till dawn!!! Worth the chunks of money ;)

LACE ON GREENS

Our last field exposure happened last week at Pantukan, Comval. To tell you honestly it wasn't all that "fun" unlike the one in Talikud Island but nevertheless I did enjoy it a lil bit. No matter how dull the place you're going to, it's the people you're around with that makes everything fun, exciting, and having the best days of your life! :)

Out of all the field exposures I've been to, this was the first time that I woke up late and didn't packed my bags. The moment I opened up my eyes I was already in panic mode! That feeling that you don't know what to do first. Pack your bags or take a quick shower? Found myself walking in and out of my room and into the bathroom. I didn't even know what to wear! What's worse was my classmates calling me and texting me "WHERE THE HELL WAS I?!" simultaneously.

I didn't want them to wait for me because I too am a person who doesn't want to wait. So I had no choice but to drive off my butt from Davao to Pantukan. Long distance driving baby! :) Well, it wasn't a bad thing at all because finally I can drive without limits! The escape from Davao and its speed limits. It feels so good to be on a rush and fast but not furious! ;)

Despite coming off as "unprepared". I loved how my #OOTD finished off. I guess the result of the adrenaline rush? #LOL. So basically I just grabbed whatever I can grab from my closet and tadaa! Effortlessly looking despite all the cramming. HAHA!

BLOWN AWAY

A sunny day welcomed us to our trip to Talikud, Samal Island. Perf for the beach feels! I am particularly excited about this one for the reason that I'll get to first-time-ever-in-my-life-to-try .. *drumrolls please* SCUBA DIVING in which I already blogged about it so it would be redundant to talk about it again. LOL!

Before I got all wet, sun kissed, sunburned (which resulted to uneven tanlines!), and got stung by a jellfish! (or jellyfishes - which left tons of itchy red spots on my feet). Here is my #OOTD and the whiter (as if I'm that white. Lol!) and flawless version of the before Minggay! ;)

An all basic get up topped with a kimono and I added some accents to it to avoid looking boring. Now Minggay is beach ready! Plus the wind added some dramatic effect to my flowy kimono ;)

What I'm Wearing: Kimono - Cotton On | Shorts - Uniqlo | Sandals - Steve Madden | Watch - Aldo | Shades - Cotton On | Necklace - bought at a bazaar |

Travel Diary: Talikud Island!

Hi guys I'm black back! Back from an unforgettable experience of scuba diving, snorkeling, mantatow diving and other fun-filled activities that requires the beach! Honestly, of all field exposures I've been in this is far most the best! Now don't be shock if I'm black as *insert-all-the-black-things-you-can-imagine*. That's what they say "Once you go black, you never go back!" Haha. #JustKidding! Oh I hope not..

Twas my first time to go actually this deep. Yes, I'm an introdiver. A beginner. A first timer. A noob. Well, I was one of the first batch who got to try scuba diving. First was the boys then followed by the girls on the following day. Since I was too excited and giddy I begged our teacher to let me join the boys! And without any hesitation he allowed me. Weee. #OneOfTheBoys*Always been* ;)

The underwater world is much more beautiful than the terrestrial world! Different kinds of corals ranging from the hard to the soft ones, colorful fishes of all sorts, and hues of many blues! Unfortunately I saw a lot of plastics, diapers, and whatnot. I just hope EVERY individual was more responsible enough to take care of the sea. *Sigh*

I brought my new toy/baby - GoProHero3+ to my odyssey underwater! Brought it to like almost everywhere and tried all sorts of angles and perspectives. Don't judge! Twas my first time to try it. Haha! I even brought the manual and studied so hard before getting to our destination ;)

I was #PrettyInPink in my scuba diving outfit! Well, I didn't really planned this #OOTD. Coincidentally my rashguard matches well with the body suit! Oh, the fashion gods must have done this ;) Apart from all the water activities, I did a little yoga/exercise sessions. I felt like I was an acrobat. Doing these weird positions with all the stretch and planks. I guess the beach has this effect on me! #SorryNotSorry.

We really needed this much awaited break. This trip was just a day after our final defense! A breather from all the stress & pressure our thesis gave us. It was also a "sort-of" celebration since our final defense was a success! Mostly only minor revisions. Hoorah for us! We deserve this!!!

#TheButt.
Do you still remember Finding Nemo?

Digos. Check! SPC Marine Station. Check! Talikud Island. Check! Last stop - Pantukan! Another trip plus all sorts of adventures to try. So stay tuned ;)
I hope you had fun with my underwater shenanigans as well as the terrestrial ones. Lol :D

xoxo,
Minggay
